Group Dog Obedience Training Classes
Group
dog obedience training classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday nights
- and occasionally on Tuesday nights when necessary. All classes
are 8 weeks in duration. The
cost for the entire 8 week course is $175 + tax.
Our group dog obedience training classes are one hour long and limited to a maximum of 10 dogs per class (smaller for more individual attention), with 1 instructor and 1 assistant ...a great people-to-dog ratio! There is plenty of parking, with a grass area next to our building for bathroom walks.

Curriculum
Our dog obedience training classes are much more involved than other trainers' classes. They include demonstrating methods to teach puppies and dogs to:
- stop jumping on people
- stop play biting and mouthing
- release items from their mouths
- leave objects alone when told to do so
- heel by your side and sit when you stop
- sit and stay for 3 to 5 minutes
- lie down and stay for 3 to 5 minutes
- come and sit in front of you
- stand and stay while you wipe their paws or brush them
The dog obedience training group classes also include mini-discussions (10 minutes each) on:
- housebreaking
- proper toys and how to have your dogs pursue them
- chewing problems
- proper grooming
- trimming nails
- ear cleaning
